Marketing to our youth

Its funny to what degree youth can run a brand, I mean you expect things that are specially made (or targeted to) a certian age group. However. major fashion icons, and shoe giants? Thank God for the push of popularity huh? !

Whats funny about this article is in the era Addidas exploded- I directly bought into it. I always sit in class thinking pffft brand loyalyty, I cant think of one brand I AM loyal to, right now its about cost and availibility for me, but in that year (i think it was around 1992) never having owned one, or having any interest in sports: I made my mother go out and buy a near $200.00 Addidas coat. Now this is one of the only times I had decided to try to be one of the in crowd.. but none the less the realization of this article made me laugh a little.
