In a Continuous State of Becoming

It's great to think that the world would be a much better place if people would just recycle. However, there are too many lazy people in the world for that to actually be something of interest to the average person. I for one am one of them. On the other hand when it comes to designing things that can be broken down and morphed into some else, I think is a great stride. One thing in this reading that I didn't really understand was the biodegradable casing for prepaid cell phones, when the credit runs out on the phone wouldn't the user just go out and buy more minutes? I thought that the fact that Afghans recycle bricks from previous structures was a practice that would really come into handy in the US. As much as we tear down and rebuild it's seems more cost effective to reuse those materials.
