Chumbawamba is right.
This article made me pretty uncomfortable. From the "bro-ing" technique to the rebranding of a country, to the legal stalkers of youth culture, this strategy for finding and promoting trends is a little scarey. Do the designers really say, "Hey BRO, check out thses shoes." Are they trying to talk on someone's level? Because the article presented it in a way that seems incredibly superficial. I do not support the idea of a country being "rebranded" by a politician-imagine if we trusted George Bush to define our cultural brand. yuck. However, Britain was pretty old-fashioned before Blair brought his semi-youthful (compared to the queen) point of view. Searching for trends sounds like a pretty fun job, but calling them hunters and stalkers- I wasn't given a very positive impression.
