It's amazing how I don't have a lot to say when I kind of agree with the article. I don't know that this whole shift will happen in my lifetime, but it seems like a pretty cool thing, ya know, for the planet and stuff. How convinient to read this right after Earth Day... hippy conspiracy maybe?
Eventually, yeah, everyone will jump of this sustainability bandwagon once it becomes more cost effective. And once it's hella cheaper to recycle or refurbish what's already out there than create something new, the article is totally right, we'll be more focused on making quality "stuff". The better made, better looking, and better functioning the "stuff", the longer it will be around, giving us more time to figure out exactly what the hell to do with it once it finally craps out.
Uh... I guess I'll go hug a tree now.
